How ChartMRR works

1. Verified source, dated snapshots

Upstream revenue is verified on TrustMRR through supported payment providers. ChartMRR’s daily ingest focuses on startups for sale, plus startups people open or watch, and stores point-in-time snapshots: MRR, 30-day revenue, growth, listing flags, asking price, and related metadata.

TrustMRR does not ship a full historical series to us. Every day of successful ingest adds another point on each career. That is why weekly stories get better after about a week of history, not after a single crawl.

2. Charts from startups for sale

Charts rank startups currently for sale in ChartMRR’s local catalog. You can sort by 30-day revenue (default), MRR, total revenue, growth, or asking price, and filter by category or payment provider. Listings that leave the market stay in snapshot history but their profiles and discovery surfaces 404 / drop off until they return.

When we say “#1 in Analytics,” we mean #1 among Analytics startups for sale that ChartMRR currently tracks — not every company on earth. Daily and exhaustive for-sale crawls exist specifically to keep that catalog honest.

3. Compare cohorts or shortlists

Cohort compare lets you pit market slices against each other: category vs category, Europe vs US, Stripe vs Paddle, founded-year cohorts, MRR bands, or age buckets. Each side shows count, medians, growth, for-sale share, and top names.

Startup compare is the buyer shortlist — up to a few listings with asking price, multiples, customers, channels, and TrustMRR rank metadata in one view. From there you can overlay careers in Studio when you want a terminal-style chart.

4. Profiles, watches, and alerts

Open any startup to see its verified career, category ladder context, and actions to watch or compare. Watching stores your email against that slug (no login). Milestone detection runs across the catalog — watching only decides who gets emailed when a watched startup crosses something worth celebrating.

5. Milestones you can share

After enough snapshot depth, we detect moments worth a card across the whole catalog: MRR, ARR, or revenue thresholds crossed, entry into global rank tiers, category #1, and genuine weekly climbs (only when we have roughly a week of history). The billboard lists recent ones; each has a public share URL, OG image, confetti on view, and an iframe embed for a homepage. High-signal milestones from named startups can also land on our X feed when the startup is for sale (anonymous / stealth and off-market listings are not posted).

What “updated” really means

Daily for-sale ingest refreshes the market ladder, then evaluates milestones for every startup in that run. Nightly watched refresh keeps careers you care about current.
